Yes its official. I am so lame. Welll my guilty pleasure has ALWAYS been Laguna Beach.. so naturally The Hills I loved.. so no shame in that ..(im sooo on Team Lauren) but........ Harry Potter? Word? I was taking the train to BK the other day.. and it was the weekend.. so service is mad slow and stops local.... homeless man selling stolen items im assuming, I left my iPod, and had nothing to read, so I buy the first Harry Potter book for a $1 just to have something... and WHAM... im completly thrown offguard... I love it.... Harry Potter is my new hero (I joke) but no honestly... I love the book, I just finished reading the first one yesterday, about to buy the second one today, rent the first dvd today and watch it...

Harry Potter is my hero. Now I understand my neices obsession... Cant wait to read the whole series...

HELL.

Thats what today was. PURE HELL.

All the trains went kaput. No trains functioning due to flooding (wtf?...when did it rain?) I had 2 early interviews, I had to call and postpone. I had to walk across the Madison Bridge, Get on the green line (east side, when I live on the west) on 138, a train that normall goes all the way downtown .. today was not going past 68th. So here I am off the train.. walking to 59 to get on another train to 42, to make it to my interview... which I was an hour and half late to ..

A sight to see I tell you, people packed underground like sardines, once on the train, no a.c, packed in, people cussing, bitching and talkin about I will smack whoever pushes me to get on/off this train or touches my ass... ( glad to say noone tried to grab my ass)

I mean I understand now why New Yorkers can be so *blah* at times. On top of the inconveniance it was a hot day in the city. I was sweating so hard, my skirt and shirt drenched, sweating in places I didnt even know you could sweat (get your mind out the gutter), and just plain ol exhausted, I literally walked for 2 hours total, waitied for trains for 2 hours and just felt like shit.

*sigh* I miss my rinky dink car and the MARTA now.. I will never complain about traffic ever again.. pinky swear..

Typical Sunday.. woke up late.. got out in the streets by 2pm and tried my hardest to catch "Bourne"at 330... no go.. only 7pm show available.. and I believe I got the last seat.. cuz it wouldnt let me buy more than one (sowwy Jill)... so had to waste time..

Right off Amsterdam.. there was a streetfair... bought some gifts for family and friends.. (no Ree im not telling you what I got you) and ate grilled corn on the cob... ( reminds me of home ) As I was walking I saw this tiny itty bitty woman.. im talking about damn near 4'11 maybe 90ilbs on a good day ... carrying a cat the length of her upper body that weighed at least 40lbs and was hanging on to the lady for dear life...

why in the world would you do that to that poor cat.. she seriously looked like she was abou to jump off the lady and claw someone in the face... Im sure the cat spotted some rats along the way and wanted to have a field day!!!!

Got bored of Columbus .. went to Chelsea.. where the "boys will be boys" saw some intresting things.. but this bakery caught my eye...

On the way back went to 42nd for a xfr and saw my fave thing ever!!! THE WHITE MIMES!!!!! Saw the butler and when i dropped $ in his bucket he dusted me off (haters be gone...).. with what im assuming is his filthy duster... (he gets the last laugh I guess) ... but it was all in good fun... I decided at that moment that like Burger off Sex and the City I will start collecting images of these mimes.... so got on my train to go back to the movies.. and decided to get off on 59th and walk the rest of the way to 66th... .....and guess what I ran into.. YES ANOTHER MIME! (Yes Im lame.. I know) ...another pic op...




Anyways... loving the city .. and the time I get for me... tomorrow... LAURYN HILL in BROOKLYN for the free concert series.. lets see if she actually shows.. and if she does how nutty she is..

Funny thing is.. living in Harlem .. you meet the most inresting characters... maybe not "meet" but you pass and observe the most interesting folks...

Here I am on 125 and Lenox.. on the crosswalk... I have heels on for a change ( best believe my flipflops are in my purse) looking somewhat cute... (Uptown living gives you a pass to look busted walking down the straight from time to time... now if I was living in SoHo or on the East Side.. diff story)... this dude... starts trying to get my attention... and this is how it went....

This Peach is back in the Apple... yes sir/maam.... not having a job has been ... very... um relaxing? :) First time in 4 years I have taken time for me and all the things I want to do for my own "Takeover" I figure... why invest and waste away my time to make someone richer.. when I can make my self comfertable.. plus WE KNOW im not the 9-5 traditional type of person.. and im not knocking it... all my best friends do it... it takes discipline.. and I know myself to know I dont have it in me to do it.. better to embrace it than to fight it ya dig.. [ my family doesnt really agree with me on that though]

Been struggling with this whole move thing.. it seems insane that im here [NYC] when everything im doing is in the [A].. but then again... I never like the easy way... Im somewhat sadistic... and I enjoy struggling for some reason..or so it seems... makes me believe I should see someone about that.... but I cant afford the therapy bill.. thats what friends are for I guess... or the lady on the train who wont shut the f@#$ up next to me... might as well tell her my life story since she told me hers...
