My sister, who basically raised me when my mother died , and who is basically my go to person and backbone is moving back home to the Middle East.

Im so sad. Yes, I said it, and Im so not one to write blogs about personal personal personal shit. But hot damn, It just hit me.

Since she told me a month ago, I have been playing it to the side, like its a joke. So naturally the "I dont want to accept it" side in me has been in denial.

Until I went to her condo tonight, and it hit me. All the boxes, luggage, and posters on the every wall in every room to remind her of appointments, what to pack and all that jazz [she's a Dr. Shes O.C.D, and I got it from her]

Im really #@!$ed up over this , and between the night I have had, this was the icing on the cake. Im guilty of not telling those closest to me how much I love them and care for them, and my sister has been a victim of that. And now that shes about to go, Its like I just want to run to her and try not to cry and tell her not to go.

Sigh. Now the fam is really scattered.

Back in the A, and on the way home from the airport [around 630ish] got in a wreck on the highway. Before I go on, I'm straight.

Basically dude behind me slammed into me , and smashed his shit up [I mean dudes shit is FUCKED UP, would post pics, but camera phones at night on the freeway suck].
My truck was left with a minor dent, paint chips, and a broken light]

Im kind of out of it, still with a slight headache, went to sleep, woke up, on here, and I think I'm starting to feel the aftermath. I was really out of it tonight,hopefully I will snap out of it by tomorrow.

known as Ernest Wilson (born Dion Wilson in
Chicago, Illinois), is a hip hop and R&B
record producer, best known for his early
work with Chicago rapper, and life long

Well not quite.. more like the Fadia way...
so one of my fave cuzzos came to visit from Good ol' Akron, Ohio... and I had to play tour guide [I just take people where I go... lol...]

good times with famo.. my feet hurt cuz i wore out the soles on my boots.. [thats what I want for xmas] .. we went to Yaffa Cafe [my fave all night spot int he Village],had dinner and then to Habibi Lounge, smoked some argelah [strawberry flavored] and belly danced with the owner [love Egyptians.. they have the most fun.. plus he hooked us up...]

Then it was up to Times Square @ 230am ..best time to go.. to really capture the essence of the city that never sleeps, the lights, and damn it no tourist swarming the streets... best pic ops are at those hours...

We did Canal St, Habibi Lounge, Mama Mexicano, Mamouns [best shawarma in the city... just like home] we kicked it with Denks,J, watched 2 movies [ snuck into one..] missed the ending of American Gangster cuz someone almost gave me a minor stroke about this project im working on], had amazing d&d coffee and nutella crepes, shopping, played with middy, hopped on trains, missed trains, waited on trains, went off on the cabby tryin to play me and take me around the block to get more money [fuck that],

anyways.. soo much.. too many pics.. and not enought internet time.. but you get the pic....

I moved to NYC in June and spent August 15th-October 25th in Atlanta...to some.. they thought I moved back... I didn't. My lease on my spot was not ready till October 1st and I had committed to parties and events till October 27th.. so made no senses to fly back every other day. [ just incase you were wondering.... ]

So... I'm back in the Apple and I made the biggest commitment to my determination of making NYC work for me [other than signing my lease on my apartment] ....

I bought a COUCH.
and some plates too. [Pics coming soon. ... so GORGEOUS, GAUDY, AND OLD LADY'ISH..my fave thing ever]

Thats a big move for me. I have an air mattress, a pillow (1) and one AirTran blanket (don't worry I washed it) and close to 7 suitcases worth of clothes and shoes. I have been living like the ultimate gypsy with a crash spot. But now ... I made a full on commitment. I bought my first purchase and this is my promise to myself that I am here to stay... next purchase/service: PAINTING... after that : a BED

I went through hell getting that damn couch.. so im very sensetive about it.. and if you visit you cant eat on it.. or do anything on it.. just look at it. [loooooooooooong story short... me and this lady (Mrs.Brenda was her name)

fought over this couch we both had our eye on [ at the Salvation Army] because she saw me grab the ticket and her friend ( Mr.Joe)

worked as the manager over the furniture department and was trying to give it to her..(until I asked to speak to the manager) Fuck that.. you know if I want something Im soooo gonna get it.. I fought hard for my couch.. tooth and nail... it was well worth it.. a $2,000 brand new couch , Italian made, for $150]

Why am I so proud and sensi about this couch? Because... not once did I snap, curse, lose my cool, or go off on the bitch. It was turning point in my life... not only to my commitment to living in the Apple... but also turning a new leaf and realizing .. throwing a temper tantrum does not solve all problems in life [not that I do that on the reg... but *BITCH* mode comes out quick when someone tries me or my patience gets shot].

So Broke and BouJee was good shit on Friday... and I had a flight to catch at 8am to go to MIA for Kenny Burns birthday at the Versace Mansion, but my overly tired ass (makes no sense that I sleep about 14 hours out the day) hit the snooze and didnt wake up till 9am... soooo I was like bump.. I will catch the 12pm flight to NYC, drop off some clothes, pick up some clothes, catch the 4pm flight to MIA and spend the next 3 days there...

I was wrong. Flight was delayed till 2:07, so I got in to NYC at 4:27pm and me and my luck last flight out of Laguardia to MIA is at 4:15 (WHAT KIND OF SHIT IS THAT) ...

So here I am in the Apple.. Home Sweet Home.. even though we ( Jill and I - The roomie) have no furniture,the walls are not yet painted (living room is an ugly yellow and my room is maroon), we eat in the kitchen over the sink in fear that the tiniest crumb might give the ok for an army of roaches to bombarde our lovely home, and I live on an air mattress that is killing my back with only one pillow and the Airtran blanket I swiped.... its still home. and the worst of it all.... we dont have internet access.... we were stealing it from DLINK but she got her shit cut off and when she came back she passworded her shit (bitch)..so now until the previous tenent returns her cable boxes/modems and pays her bill... we have to go the library, dunkin donusts, and starbucks.

I have learned to move in silence due to certain circumstance.

I speak through music. At any day, its probably best to figure out how I feel through whats playing on my page,iPod,or at home. Music is universal, and at times I can never really break down how I feel.. so in return I pray that when he visits.. he listens and reads between the lines....

Somewhat cryptic, I speak in code.. I feel in code.. and sometimes its best to leave things unsaid. Actions speak louder than words. Just watch the way I move. Its no love lost. Shoulda,Coulda,Wouldas are so last season.

I see where and what I'm supposed to be.At times its too clear, it can get scary, and then I get anxious, and want to rush it. But good things come to those who wait, especially those that do thing with integrity,passion and respect. So its cool.. I will wait.. I will grind till my hands hurt, my head pounds, and my neck is knotted...but then I can afford to go to the best masseur, and tell my problems to the best psychiatrist. At the end of the day.. my family and loved ones call me FooFoo, my last name is not really Kader (Its part of my last name.. but you would not be able to say it .. so I saved you from it), my lucky number is still 13, I don't do parties to be the life of the party, I do it to use it as a spring board to dive into some other shit that matters to me...I love Proton, T.T is my BFF, L.B is my dude for life... its a bond you can never fucking break...so say what you wanna say.. Proton is here to stay bitch (and I have to thank Ms.M.B for the intro), I hate the word haters (how lame and so timely...) I don't like to be challenged.. because then I go extra hard.. and I scare myself.. and damn it.. I still hate Cinnamon...

AND now I have to go thru the hell of canceling police reports, calling the immigration telling them to cancel the process of sending me a new green card, cancel my jordanian passport and identity card to be sent, cancel the Kuwaiti embassy of resubmitting my birth certificate... and all this .. all the money spent.. its all nonrefundable.

When I told Sasha.. she choked. When I told Brit .. she Gasped.. when I told my sister... she was silent and hung up... and im sooooo not telling my brother... hes already somewhat bi-polar.. he will go serial killerish on me...

We all have a 6th sense that we are capable of tapping into.. but many dont tap into theirs. Some prefer to call it intuition....and FYI mine is ON POINT. Well... dreams are the same thing.. my sister and I have pretty vivid dreams, with alot of underlined meanings. My sister is into it more than I am... I mean, when my mother passed, she dreamt about it a month before.. and many other things in our lives...

I had a dream about a month ago, about a black widow (spider) crawling on me (I have the biggest fear of spiders ever) and since then, I feel like something is crawling on me from time to time (I sound like im Afflicted), and it scares the shit out of me.

Im spending time with the family (this family overload is about to come to an end... cant wait till I get back to NYC.. they cant say I have not spent time with them now), and we sat down for dinner, and my sister saw me twitch like a crazy person and shake my arm, I told her about my dream and how since then I imagine things or actually feel like something is brushing up on me...

All she says is this... watch your surrounding. Espcially your female friends. She talks about you and wishes you ill well unintentioanlly but is secretly happy when things are not going well for you....but she smiles in your face, and talks a big game... (is that not 85% of females?). A spider crawling in a dream indicates jealousy in buisness and betrayal in friendships.

Well im back from Akron,OH .. spending time with the fam was the RX I needed for my "sickness"....
Now.... once upon a time I lived in a small town called Murfreesboro, TN.... my frist job at 15 was at Wal-Mart... second was at Kroger Pharmacy.. and 3rd was at a place I hold dear... we called it KARKAR.. you call it .......

So since I have not been to Cracker Barrel since 2002 (when I left TN for good and moved back home to Atlanta)... It was a pleasure for me to go there... played some checkers and beat Flea's ass!!!! [King me B!@@#!!!!]

Finally got our name called... ordered my fave thing ever... Cabbage, Carrots, Grilled Chx, and Dumplings.. and Billy mentions that Amy Winehouse is sitting behind us....

Well not her really.. but what she would look like if she was old and just left church on a sunday...We schemed hard to get this pic.. layed the camera on the table and all... Man.. it never fails.. I love KARKAR... and the memories of the good ol Boro!!! Those were some simple, small town, good living times... times when I thought making $40 in tips at the end of the night was bank.... wish at times that things could be so simple...

Anyways... back to famo.. so Pshyco Mom aka... new mommy... aka...my favorite cuzzo Nora, had a get togthere for Ramadan at her house.. I have been protesting all Arabic "functions and dinners" for 3 years now...since every time I go to such "social gatherings" im constantly asked...the following questions:

1) So Fadyah (the correct pronunciation of my name), when are you getting married, your almost thirty...25 is not young...!! [all this with a heavy arabic accent]

2) Oh, Fadyah, I have to introduce you to my brother-in-laws, friends cousin, who is perfect for you, he owns a corner store in Cobb County... you would make a gorgeous couple!!

3) Do you actually work? Do you consider fashion work? What happened to you being a lawyer?

I mean hot damn the list can go on and on and on ....and im usually the only person in my age group...that is

1) Not Married...
2) On my 2nd child
3) Doesnt know about the big sale at Belks, Dillards, or what the hell is going on on "Dancing with the Stars"

Anyways....anything for my cuzzo... [my sister would die with happiness if she knew i went.. little does she know.. i spent the majority of it lakeside on the phone with Ree, talking about BEWS ...and my finds at the thrift store!!!]

Atleast what I got out of it is this...

1) Having a blast with Flea and Billy making fun of folks
2) Good homecooked meals
3) Watching Nora be an amazing mother,wife and hostess [who woulda thunk it]
4) Sitting Lakeside in the Ohio night and gazing at the stars which I NEVER get to see anymore...
5) And meeting my future son.... or what I imagine my son to look like...

I actually asked whos dominican baby that was...lmao.. ["X".. so this is what our kids are gonna look like eh?]
I stood corrected...100% Boater!!!!! [im going to hell for that one.]

Now its time to introduce you to my Tomato!!! This is Nora's gorgeous baby boy... and he reminds me of a tomato.. and thats what I call him and I love him and want to bite his cheeks.. and knees, and play patty cake with him...

Hes sooo freaking cute.. he had to be in pics alone..[except for my hand holding on to him for dear life] I cut everyone out.. all focus on the TOMATO!!!! AND HIS HAIRPIECE OFCOURSE and Baby Phat get up... (Nora...breath and chill.. we all know its all his, Mullett and all, as for the Rocawear wardrobe.. jusry is still out on that one...lmao) [going to hell for that one too]

Anyways.. that was the end of my trip.. had a blast and im so BLESSED to have family that I love and I can go and run to when in need of a reality check, a friendly reminder that its not about the glitz and glam, and the rise to the top, but rather the one you love and who love you and you are loyal to...success is nothing without your backbone... and mine is straight homie.. check yours...

I almost cried when the thought of losing my phone settled in, got my beloved celly back...after the drama...went to the Beauty Mart, and then to Gabriel Brothers, and then come home to get cute for the night, and go to Red Lobster for our dinner date, and then drive to Giant Eagle, and buy my cuzzo the ingredients for my secret facewash that clears up your skin like crazy (thanks Chels for the ingredients...), then drive to Hollywood Video, try to find "DANCE TILL DAWN", no go, drive home, and all three of us sit on our laptops, listening to music, and drinking diet , caffeine free coke....

The simple life... gotta love it...

Since every year it moves up a month.. the days are getting longer.. the sun goes down at around 745-8pm... so that means I have to fast from Sun up till sun down.. sigh..no water...no XXX (shoot me now) .. no Orbitz gum... no shots of Grand Ma with Papa... No cursing, no making fun of people... no extra partying... no extra anything... just a time to reflect on my life, my relationship with my maker, and my relationship with the ones I love and whom love me... 30 days of pure reflection and moments of clarity...

Ramadan doesnt feel like much in the states.. I miss being home in the middle east and breaking fast with family, hearing the prayer throught the city from the mosques, eating dates, going to the bodega afterwards to get the stuff that you have been craving all day only not to be able to eat it.... I just miss being home in the middle east.. the picture above is what the skylines look like on a regular basis....

Three great movies .. in less than 2 weeks.. thats rare... One made me realize how much I miss NYC.. the other made me value life and friendhsips, and to trust in love and let love embrace you and not to try to control it and the other made me realize that we are all in love with the idea of being in love secretly and sometimes we overlook our significant others flaws and press the important issues to the side when really that person is not the person you are supposed to be with.....

One of them really changed my outlook on a lot of things.... great dates to go along with the movies... and one of them just for myself.. since noone really knew who the movie was about and I absolutley adore her....

I started to write this really eloquent, scholastic vent about the nasty nature of people these days and stopped myself....I can't waste my good vocab on what they call "HATERS"...

I call them insecure, jealous, no life having, hate you cause they want to be you, needed more hugs from their mamas, didn't get the lead role in the fourth grade play, mad cause no one told them they were cute growing up, bitter cause they aren't where they want to be in life, can't just be happy for anyone, so scared someone else might take their place that they squeeze the life out of what they got, really should be focused on getting God's attention, MEAN SPIRITED INDIVIDUALS....

Please people get over yourselves. Life shouldn't be this malicious. Setting yourself above any other human being is UNGODLY and ARROGANT and if you don't live with humility with a genuine desire to see your peers succeed, the fruits of your pursuits will be ROTTEN to the core. Be careful what you put out into the Universe for it will surely be returned to you a thousand fold.

Well heres the deal.. cuz I guess like some people out there it seems like I have been confusing myself quite a bit.... let me rewind and fastforward for ya bit...

Moved to NYC in the start of the summer.. worked for an agency but the devil wore Baby Phat.. took time off.. came home to the A... stayed 2 weeks went back.. applied for jobs... declined some offers... wanted one but I was not about to work for peanuts and be a modern day slave all for the love of fashion (Damn you Missoni.. I have a degree and experience in this shit.. can I atleast get $12 an hour and I would gladly get 3 jobs on the side and fetch your coffee and walk max for you....lol) But no .. I knew my worth... came back for Broke and BouJee with the Clutch.. (BTW... here are some pics)

Back to the story.... OH SHIT.. let me rewind... got a call at 6am one day while I was still in NYC .. mad depressed... about a position that I have been waiting to open up for 2 years now... but guess where it is... BACK IN THE "A"....ok fast forward... Had my interview with the CO. here in Atlanta.. went amazing well... waited on a call back... told from the inside of the company my chances are high for this position (which they are creating for the person ... which means I can move up pretty quick...) getting anxious... no call back.. come to find out the person who is doing the second round of interviews and has the FINAL DECESION just got married this weekeend and wont be back till the 10th.... dilemma because my apartment in NYC is about ready... and I feel like my life is in limbo

NYC is the boy I have been crushing on for YEARS... now that I have him.. I realize he farts alot.. has dirty nails.. but still somewhat cute... atleast he smells good.. and looks like "JUSTIN BOBBI" (lol)...

I realize now that the grass is not always greener on the other side... more than ever F.I.L.A (Forever I Love Atlanta) I miss home.. Miss my friends.. Miss my family.. Miss Cars.. Miss southern accents.. miss they gayhood (my old neighborhood) and just damn it.. I miss home...

Started feeling the urge to come back... ever since ive been back.... still no call back cuz that dude is still on his damn honeymoon... (damn it man) and I know in my heart of hearts... if I make the decesion to move back to Atlanta.. NYC is not out of my system... they (who are these they people btw?) say that it takes 6 months to semi get settled in NYC... well.... I have officially come to the grown conclusion that I will stay and make it work...I will walk the mean streets of the city with myself alone with or with the strong hand of my Xavi every once in a while ( I miss you love) , left alone on the train with my random and somewhat insane thoughts... I will return to the land of gypsy cabs... I will return to the MTA system that i have grown to love... I will no longer be on the 2 but moving up into the A... I will have Nutella Crepes on Prince St from Jean Pierre on the corner ( I think he just picked a french name.. he looks Latin to me)..I will over consume Coconut Ice from the ice cream pushers... I will walk Skully and watch her pee on concrete and have her look at me like "Bitch.. I need grass not concrete to piss/shit on)... I will eat Mamoun's on McDougal..damn it .. I WILL FUCKING LEARN TO LOVE MY CITY THAT I HAVE BEEN IN LOVE WITH FOR SO LONG... AND ACCEPT IT FOR WHAT IT IS.. I AM STAYING WITH MY MAN!!!! ( yea yea yea.. got a lil carried away.. so what...)

Till then.. till my apartment is ready OCTOBER 1ST... I will stay in Atlanta to milk it for ALL its worth..spend as much time with those I love.. and surround myself with POSITIVE energy (yes.. you are NO LONGER IN MY CIRCLE... so kick rocks) I love my city ... and my city loves me... So you will be with me till then... seeing me out in these streets.. driving around in a cop car... (dont ask)
