Ok.. Im a fan.. Yes I think Kanye is somewhat lame.. but I cant deny talent and I RESPECT arrogance and confidence (go figure.. but cockiness is wack) If you know your good... so be it.. why deny it.. dude speaks whats on his mind...
but I still stand ground... not feeling the cover (even though he uses my fave colors.. purp/magenta)....I see that he enlisted Japanese artist Takashi Murakami as a reflection of his "recent stylistic infatuation with contemporary Japanese art and anime." (Vultures) BUT... im a cd cover whore. When I buy a CD i disect the art work, read the production notes, see who wrote it, co-produced it, vocals, everything... and finally my fave thing to do... read the Thank you's... I mean when I think cd covers.. I think Native Tongues... and if that cover came out 50 years from now .. its still classic.... Or Black on Both Sides... ILL... I hate covers that are so associated with trends or a certain era... think timeless people... think classic...
Brice got his hands on it before next week ( I will support him and buy it just to beat 50 on 9/11... yuck) so here I am listening to it since 8am... nonstop... and it gets better and better.... LOVES IT. COP IT. SUPPORT IT. YOU WILL LOVE IT. (Unless u r just a true hip-hop head that hates anything else other than 1986-1995 hip hop and you have a hard time acepting that Hip-hop will never be the same.. not dead..but in a come...lol)
and dude.. please get rid of those damn shades.. please..
